What is hypnotherapy? (Does not Hypnotherapy)

A large number of people have misconceptions about what is hypnotherapy, what it is not, what it can do, and what it can not. So what is it? And it can really help?

Let's start with the first dispel the myth Hypnotherapy - It's not about the stage shows. This is theater, a hypnotherapist can not simply make you scream like a chicken or generally act like an idiot without your permission. Let's take a look at stage hypnotherapy for a moment and how it works

Well, if you think that the audience for a stage hypnosis show and there are 1000 people present there and say, 90% of them actually want to be there and are looking for a show, so that's 900 left in the pot of potential candidates. Before the show, the hypnotherapist will ask who is willing to come up on stage and make a fool out of themselves. Say for example that 50% of them agree, so we are left with 450. The hypnotist will then go through a series of sensitivity tests to see who can make the best volunteers and select, say, 50 Then these people through a different set of hypnotic test to see who really "up for it", to determine the outgoing characters in the group most susceptible.

The rest will be sent back to the audience and those on stage is "primed" to be ready for the show. As a stage hypnotist invites the tables before the group start acting themselves as chicken or whatever they asked to do. About 60 years ago governments experimented with hypnosis as a means of questioning for captured enemy soldiers. After many studies, they discovered that enemy soldiers could not be hypnotized to give up secrets! What it was proven that the person who hypnotized still have control to a certain extent and can not be made to do something that goes against their beliefs. So now you know you can not be made to squeal like a chicken without your consent, what can be done with hypnotherapy?

Now this is the exciting part, and get ready for a long-winded answer ... A nything you can imagine! That said, there are physical limits. For example, if you are confined to a wheelchair and ask a hypnotherapist "Can hypnosis help me win the men's 100 meters final at the Olympic Games?" Having to go to expect a "no"! But if you ask a hypnotherapist: "I have this phobia of heights for 20 years, but I really, really want to climb a mountain, can you help me?". In this case, the answer is a resounding "YES". If you have a problem and you want a solution then hypnotherapy can help massively!

How does hypnotherapy as a therapy work? Use a hypnotic induction to get you into a deep state of relaxation, very similar to a state of deep meditation. Once there, the conscious mind is pretty much in a standby mode on (like your TV) and the unconscious is ready, deep and open to hear suggestions. A series of hypnotherapy techniques (such as embedded commands, illusory choice, and metaphors) can then be caused to directly to your unconscious mind and change the belief that the programming has problems. Now the big thing here is that you are always in control, and your subconscious will accept the new programming deeply and let it take effect immediately.

Hypnotherapy deals with phobias, fears, unwanted negative emotions, performance coaching, weight loss, smoking cessation, the list goes on and on!
